While on the surface of a logical argument can not seem to be the case. Yes, it is true that older, more like a child on the ground have is the fact that most women do not wait too long to have children. if the majority of children with Down syndrome are born to women in their 20s, because most kids) (with or without the syndrome are born to women aged 20 years. It is therefore probable "enlightened attitude" hypothesis that "with all the scenarios.

Like some others have pointed out very young mothers are also more likely for children with Down syndrome have (as the daughter of Sarah Palin! Ooh controversial!). but it is still the case that most people do not have small children, so that the same argument that they are.

That is not true. Even if a mother is more likely, most people with children younger parents.
This is because the mother is more likely that every woman with every egg she's ever born undertake. So if a woman at the age of 20 become pregnant, the fertilized egg, which is about 20 years. If she is 40, and the egg is 20 years and we all know that age may cause a number of things to break molds. This is no exception. Furthermore, does a woman have more hormonal problems.
But above all, depends on the person. One can not say that all women are at risk. I am almost 39 and has a daughter, 8 weeks is in perfect health. My 2 older children (17 and 14) to be. I have many friends in the 30 and 40, recently children with healthy no problems at all.
As for women ", but" it is not always the case. I had 2 children in my 20 years. I was almost abolished, and the others. I had children of my adult life, and that wa would have had no otherY:)

Interesting question! However, I am firmly convinced that more and more women choose these days, the child after it positive for Down syndrome and therefore there are more babies born with Down syndrome to consider. I am 24 years old (23 years old when I was thinking) and my son's Down Syndrome ... Statistics on older women and increased risk of conceiving a child with Down syndrome, have become obsolete, so many doctors. but the woman is outdated, useless information. Recognized test for Down syndrome or other errors, is designed for women of all age groups is given in these days, and the reason that any woman of any age ♥ ♥ is in danger. Well, at least here in the United States, the tests on individual women receive adequate prenatal care .... and if you provide no proof, then you should ask yourself, in any case! It is better to know in advance! Women have more time to prepare themselves and their family before we know the facts! =)

However, older mothers for Down syndrome are more likely to be tested. Consequently, most babies with Down syndrome born to young mothers, no more.

The fact that the lives of people with Down syndrome infinitely better than 20 years - their life expectancy significantly from the normal schools and universities will be strengthened (yeah, school) - have much to do.
